Iittala, founded as a glassworks in 1881, is a Finnish design brand specialising in design objects, tableware and cookware.During the past year the brand has became more known also outside of Finland and this year during the Milan Design week Iittala had a temporary inside the Janelli&Volpi shop.
In this temporary shop were present some new designs as well as some classic Iittala designs like Savoy Vase (Aalto-vase) which was designed by Alvar Aalto in 1936.
The novelty was this lamp seen in the photo above made by using a Teema-muki.I loved this idea,but at the moment Iitala doesn’t sell these lamps.

[[a casa], an experimental project in FBR’s studio with Francesca Ballini Richards and Giorgio Colombo, unhinges the rules below the line to propose a creative, friendly, truthful and heartfelt way to communicate..The project is held at Fornasetti’s warm  home, where IITTALA’s home wear objects, the light “Tetatet” by DAVIDE GROPPI, and the table linens by SOCIETY, will be presented.
